This lesson will take at least 3 hours to complete. Students are exposed to the story of the Very Hungry Caterpillar. They then examine the illustrations in the story and complete a graphic summary page to write down what they see. They then finish with their own drawing of the Caterpillar.
The Worksheet needed for this lesson will be included in the lesson.
I use a A3 Portfolio Art Journal for students to complete their artworks and glue in the activivities.

This art lesson is based on the illustrations of The Very Quiet Cricket. Students listen and watch a clip on the story "The Very Quiet Cricket". They then examine the illustrations of the Cricket and answer questions in a brainstorm graphic. Students then colour a outline of the cricket in their art portfolio.
- I provide art portfolio's for the students in A3 size so they can use this to draw their artworks and paste they worksheets that they complete.
A copy of the graphic with the cricket will be on the USB.
